So decided to go custom with my 05 Bumper/Skid . Didnt really like any ones on the market. So about $300 in 3/16 metal 1/4x1/2x4 C channel, $400 In lights, $200 in Welding and Plasma supply and $50 in paint, oh and 2 Large Lowes moving boxes(Best shit ever!). 3 Months later shes done.

    Bumper #2 here

    Wow!

    Impressive.

Hahaha thanx man, Yeah Night rider was kinda a last min addition. I had the bar already and a open space. I might of had a few drinks when I thought it was a good idea. Fuck it is in there now. Its multi color and pattern, but i leave it on green Night Rider.

Never drink and mod....it's almost as as bad hitting a tattoo parlour after a night out.

    Looks great, nice work!

Just out of curiosity, is this for protection or looks? Just wondering why you put a big hole right in the center of the bash plate? I like the detail you put into it, just seems like the introduction of a weak point if you hit something.

Wow really nice! I'd be 1/2 nervous about catching on that skid plate with all the detail or potentially screwing it up but that's alright, another can always be built! :D

Half and half. It is my "daily Driver" of all my trucks so I dont go to crazy it in. I got other rigs to bash up. It is just rustoleum Hammered painted, So i dont mind hitting something, fix is easy. That "Big hole" is 1/4Thick'' x 4''Wwide x 1/2Tall'' C channel. and rest is all 3/16 thick It will not bend. My lights might getting taken out but the bumper wont bend. I just noticed it didnt show any of the back side. But its all well reinforeced.

Oops my bad dude, miss read that. you where talking about the skid plate. YEah mostly looks. Yeah that could take a beating. Hoping those Cross rails I put on will give it some support., if it fails ill make another..

yeah im hoping I wont ever hit up that high or atleast rest will take the impact. Ive already it the lower part out on a local trail. Took it like a champ. If it fails just build something diffrent then keep going. Ive already learned alot from this build and things i should of done diffrent, but was to far a long to change it. But i always have the tools and materials to build more. Im going to start on my 4Runner next.

I'm just giving you a hard time. The paintings on it really threw me off at first. It took me a second to realize what was actually there with the logo, the mesh, the stock center portion, and the paintings.

I think it'd look cool if you went full satoshi with it and transferred those paintings onto the mesh.

I applaud your ability to make it, and make it look nice. One off a kind, and it doesn't look like it was made in the backyard. Nice job!
