2015 Access Cab TRD Off Road
    Hello All,

I've been reading threads on Tacoma World for years (I've wanted a new Tacoma since I was 10) and finally purchased a new Tacoma last month and decided to sign up and join the fun. I consider myself to be pretty computer savvy so hopefully I'll catch onto everything quickly.

I bought a brand new 2015 Access Cab TRD Off Road and am looking into purchasing a new tonneau cover for it. At this point, I'm just using my truck as a daily driver and really only looking for a tonneau so that I can store my golf clubs in the back without the worry of them being stolen.

I really like the functionality/look of flippable hard covers and after reading numerous threads on every cover I could find, I am leaning toward purchasing the Fold A Cover G4.

Does anybody have any comments/advice on choosing a cover?

I've got a "roll-up" cover that allows full use of the box if needed.... It works for me... my golf clubs go in back seat, which is down all the time..... I think mine is an "access" brand..Laredo...? not sure now...

Your golf clubs won't be protected unless you have a locking tailgate..... A hard cover on top of it also....

The box is also a great place to put your spare tire.... Mine is there and locked with a chain...

It catches way too much salt and crap under the bed....I wish Toyota would take a page from the Honda Ridgeline engineers and make a tire well in the bed like theirs...!!

I'm thinking of a new 2016 Taco with factory tonneau, but gotta see it first.... if it's a tri fold that does not allow me full access to the bed, I'll not get it....

    Good luck....

I have a 2015 DCSB. I purchased a a Truxedo roll up cover for it for under $300 from JC Whitney. Easy install, simple and quick to go from covered to rolled up, and functions perfectly. It looks good, too. It won't prevent anyone from getting into the bed though, so if security is a priority, I would go for another option. But it's perfect for what I use it for.

You are in the 3rd gen forum with a 2nd gen truck :D

Why not stick your clubs in the cab?

Unless you're looking for some form of hard cover that's lockable, all a tonneau is going to do is keep them out of sight (and dry) for you.

That said, I went with the extang tri fold. Mostly because it's so easy to remove when I want to haul bikes or kayaks.

I have an access limited roll up on my F150 and love it. Deploys super quick and rolls up just as easy. It'll be my first order as soon as I get my Tacoma tomorrow. Check the truck alterations for the best prices I've been able to sleuth out.

I suggest you get a hard folding cover like the Bak and Undercover Flex.

I have a 2015 DCSB, I recently purchased an Access Roll-up cover. The deciding factor for me was still being able to use the rail and cleats. It rolls up in seconds making the bed fully usable.

I have the access rollup limited, easy install zero issues and paid $375. Doesnt offer much protection though, that is the downside.

I dont like the trifold as they completely block the rear window when up, and not a fan of the one pieces as you need to remove if you want full access to bed.
