but there is no noise, also I was going down the road doing like 45, it started shaking, I shut the truck off while driving down the road and restarted it about 5 seconds later...it shook while it was off with the clutch pushed in and when it fired back up it quit in like two seconds. and same thing when I engage and disengage 4wd. if it's doing it and I engage 4hi it will feel exactly the same, as soon as I flip back to 2hi it's right back to normal with no shaking. and I'm not sure but I think I feel a slight power loss when it starts shaking also, just like I loose power in 4hi.

and would that bearing really be bad at 14k miles?

    Huh , interesting

That does seem to narrow it down to driveline or tires / wheels

that was kinda my reaction "huh"... followed by " I have no idea what the f*** would make this happen"... and I'm not unfamiliar with mechanics, it just doesn't make much sense to me... and it seems everytime I talk to the people at my local toyota dealer I have to educate them on something and they're no help to me..

UPDATE: my truck started shaking again, it did it at any speed, restarting the truck did not help this time, and when I engaged and disengaged 4wd it didn't work either, but one time as soon as 4wd engaged it quit, but the other 4 times tonight it didn't quit when engaging 4wd. there is no noises. and my tires were just rotated so I know it's not my tires/ballance. it's not a fast vibration just a shimmy back and fourth... it was also pulling hard to the right. didn't matter if the truck was in gear/accellerating/decelerating/coasting/stopping/or shut off... it still shook. and when I slowed down to stop the shimmy slowed down then from 10mph and under it pulls really hard to the right. also it doesn't matter if the abs/traction control fuse is in or out.... someone help me out!!

also when I was turning hard like turning off into a different road, the shimmy would go away till I got closer to straight

I just have a hard time seeing being a wheel bearing or caliper because it doesn't do it all the time. and it doesn't start after I'm braking it will just ramdomly start.

My truck had been doing similar things. Wandering, pulling and intermittent steering wheel shake. My inner tie rod end is done on the left side and steering rack bushings are sloppy. You should look into those two items. Hope that helps

UPDATE: my steering rack bushings have probably 1/2 of slop in them when you full cut it back and fourth. isn't there a tsb for this? reguardless the warranty should cover it correct?

You are lifted, not blaming it on that. But maybe. I highly doubt it's the 4wd intermittently engaging and disengaging. There would be a clunck or something once in a while u would think.
    Drive line vibe?

well, the other day I found a torn cv boot and all the grease flung out, toyota is replacing the whole shaft under warranty. I don't know if that has anything to do with the shake or not?

well it was in fact the cv axle causing all this headache. here's a pic, just rolled over 15k miles. the dealer covered it even though I'm dirty and lifted ;) 2975d82b2c60d8002d01aca34195c49a_fbf67d5b83cb41cf54d92880033040d88d25c22d.jpg
