    Breaking up the trip into installs will help with me not doing this whole trip in one straight shot.

    Plane tickets drastically came down since a few months ago. Almost half the price now.

    If anyone wants to order or Has ordered a box from me and wants me to install it. I am more than happy to show up and do the install. They do take time. I like to block out a whole day just for trouble shooting and making things pretty.

    I do offer the FREE install. Just get me to you. Meaning, you pay to get me to you wether its a plane, train or automobile and feed me. :eek:

    Doing some math here -

    our trucks here are 21 gal tanks. TO the TOP it is actually 23.5 gal or better. <- Don't argue this point with me. I'll post up a receipt next time I fuel up.

    Fuel pricing is 2.30 - 2.40 right now per gallon.

    23.5 gal x $2.40 = ~$57 per tank

    Ok back on track- = Roughly 2300 miles it the total trip planned. One direction.

    My truck is currently getting around 10 mpg (220 MPT) on 35" tires with 3.73 stock gearing.. So slightly higher, but going to use the 220 figure for arguments sake

    2300 Miles / 220 MPT = ~11 tanks of fuel one way.

    11 tanks x $57 = ~$630 one way.

    round trip, without food factored in - ~$1300 in fuel related travel expenses.

    I put an oil change in there too. Like to keep up with the 3k-5k oil changes.

    Trip can go a few ways. Adding and removing way points. Travel one direction and then back another. Doesn't bother me. It is just time.

    Some things I would like to do on the trip.

    Some light wheeling (so I do not cripple the truck and put myself out of commission)

    Light exploring.

    Fishing, free diving, spear fishing - maybe hunting? Would love to bring back some wild game or keep some in the truck to eat off of over the duration of the trip. I'll have the 85qt fridge freezer in the back.

    Sample foods from various places.

    This might be a 3-4 week trip depending on how I structure it and peoples availability.

    For the drive out. Thinking, might be a week or less. Just so I can enjoy the trip. Same for the drive back. 34+ hours is no joke.

    The plan is to BRING THE WHOLE SHOP - I'll have all the tools and gear to tear the truck down and rebuild her within reason. That includes all the Gear to do the Boxes from scratch, wiring, anything 12v/24v, loom, etc.

    Don't want to have to deal with the nonsense of Guns through states without permits, so I'll have the crossbow instead. Spear guns, and other non regulated items for hunting/ fishing/ trapping game.


    Depending on a couple factors. Biggest one being budget. Might end up in central FL for a couple days and NC too.

    First week of April, plans are to be in NC camping on the beaches with the kids for their spring break. After that, tentatively, I'll depart shortly after for this trip.

    Oh Canada, you don't get to talk about how Houston sucks. Any bug you have, Houston's is bigger. Any heat and humidity you have, Houston's is worse. Closest ocean to Houston is muddy and full of jelly fish. Dallas is at least tolerable. And we do have hot women.
