There are a few associated scoop parts you need, like trim gaskets and what not. I changed hoods but had a body shop do the work as part of an insurance claim.

You need parts 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. The main part 6 is molded in the body color so you buy the one that matches the rest of your truck.

Search ebay, "tacoma hood scoop oem". All the parts should be available. Some sellers even offer kits with all necessary parts.

Rockauto has the Scoop hood without the insert for $105 and the Insert from Amazon is $103.... So a total of $208 plus Shipping... then Paint

Of note is that body parts labeled as "CAPA Certified" will cost a bit more but are guaranteed to fit like factory parts.

    thank you guys

I already looked at rockauto parts and i was about to order it when i checked on the discountbodyparts and the note says: With scoop provision so i hesitated. i will asked them if the provision is the insert.

I'm wanting to get a hood scoop for mine also. 2 questions: in your opinion should I buy the hood with the hood scoop or just buy a hood scoop to mount on my hood? What are the steps in installing the hood with scoop?

Any updates? I want to replace my hood for one that has a scoop because mine has a bunch of big rock chips in it. Curious if you went with rockauto or discountbodyparts!
