A six speed in a DC? That's pretty cool! Looks like it has the Tow Package also...that would be a rare one....very few with factory tow and I would bet next to none with both the Tow and a 6-speed.

Is the tow package rare? My Off Road came with it.

Yeah that thing was bad ass. 6 speed+TRD quickshifter….I asked the guy for a test drive! This was at 10 in the morning and he said he had 4 "serious buyers" coming to look at it today, so it was a polite NO.

New member here. Traded in my beloved Harley, gave my old Jeep to my kid and finally bought a Tacoma. Picked up a TRD Pro in White two days ago.

I have been looking around a lot and at least in the PNW, the full tow package is on most if not all Pro models.

The skid plate is not. Mine came with it as a dealer installed option.

I think the Gen 2 Limiteds are pointless. You could just buy a Sport, swap in Katzkin leather and seat heaters and you've got basically a better looking version of the same thing for less money. Probably why I never see them around here.

I do see the point in the Pro though.

Who knows why, but Toyota ships the majority of TRD OR Trucks with factory tow, and also a large percentage of the Baja TX's. For some reason they did not do this with the Pro's. When I was looking for one my dealer found 18 Pro's coming to California and only 2 had the factory tow package. Both of those were DC AT equipped trucks. To find a DC with a six speed is one of very few, add full factory tow and it is really rare. As to the TRD Skid Plate. They had it on the Press Trucks, but did not include it on the production models. Lots of dealers add them along with a bunch of other stuf like roof racks and TRD Air Filters to add to their bottom line.

Factory Tow Package is on most of the PNW Trucks as they specifically order them with it. Almost bought and AC Pro from a dealer in Wa. State. He said they get the tow package in part because their area includes Alaska. So geography plays a part in what gets shipped. The post about Baja's with and Pro's without was in regards to the Ca / Nev area.

someone mentioned and about them being built in texas. My understanding was they roll off the line as a normal TRD tacoma. Then they go to shop where they install all the goodies in Texas..... i could be wrong.

A picture from this weekend after install of Big Country tube steps, door sill guards and heated seats.

I spend 70-80 days a year steelhead fishing and climbing in and out with waders and studded wading boots. I wanted the sill protectors for the boots and after standing in a 35 degree river for a few hours, the heated seats.
