I would suggest reading the following thread, and really educating yourself so you not only understand what this all means, but also how to determine what will work by being able to run your own calculations.

you are correct that the stock wheeels are 16x7 with a 32mm offset, but you are incorrect, the backspace is 4.75".

Ok I'm starting to figure this out I think? So my existing wheel is
16x7 32mm Offset 4.75 BS. New wheel is 16x8 10 MM offset so back space would be 4.39? If so the difference in back space would be .36 inches or 9.14mm. That's all great and I now know the wheel will fit as far as back space goes but how do I tell how much farther the wheel and tire will move towards the outside of the wheel well? I don't want the new rim to sit outside the wheel well. Is it simply 4" as opposed to the 3.5 stock wheel or an additional 1/2 less the .36? It will stick out an additional 0.14 inches?

Clear headed this morning and was able to finally grasp the concept. My new wheels with tires will stick out approximately 7/8" more than stock set up given the following. I added .75 inches to width for tires. :D

Stock alloy: 16x7 +32mm offset 4.75 Back space.

New Wheel: 16x8 +10mm offset 4.88 Back Space

OP pay attention, others are feeding you misinformation

your wheels are 16x7 +30 offset (see this link for pics)
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-TOYOTA...ck_Wheel_Packages&hash=item35e63187e6&vxp=mtr

Use this calculator to visualize what the difference will be
    http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

    Meaning:
    OEM: 16x7 +30 has 5.2" backspacing
    Desired wheel: 16x8 +10 has 4.9" backspacing

Those specs are nothing aggressive... you'll be fine with a 265/70 mounted to them. You'd be fine with a 0 or even -6 in a 16x8 wheel

If you want it to be flush and look clean, get the 16x8. +0 with a 265 wide tire. Look at my build thread for more photos. The +10 will stick inside the fender still. The x8. +0 or +1 will be more flush.

Quoted from post #42 (to reference the quoted quotes w/o looking them up).

You're aware that the wheels with which you demonstrate measuring backspace in post #28 with are different than OPs wheels, yes? When you say "stock wheels", I think you're talking about your wheels and not OPs.

Thanks. Makes a difference. I'll be running the stock 245 75R 16 tire. looks like that will be a 1.3 or so inch difference to the outer fender well so it should not protrude outside the well. The reason I'm concerned is the same reason I don't run aggressive tread tires as much as I love the look, I live and travel on lots of nasty gravel roads and I have seen what aggressive tires picking up stones and flinging them onto the side of the truck will do...

Look into the 16x8 wheels discount tire offer. They have a better selection compared to TireRack IMO

    Look at Method wheels specifically
