Dealer contacted me as they got a white TRD Pro in and asked me if I wanted to trade. The reason they contacted me, is that they remembered I wanted white at the time of purchase. They came up with a pretty good deal, but just curious as to everyone's thoughts. It probably will not happen as the wife would kill me, but lets have some fun!

I personally don't care for the Inferno color but it's limited availability and unique so i'd say stick with it.My Tacoma is black and i love it but there are times that i think i should have gotten white!:)

Waste of money IMO. If they want you to trade it in, they aren't going to lose money on the deal.

Yea, the inferno is just so unique. There is not another one in my area that I have seen.

Again, it probably will not happen, but I wanted to see how the votes came out just for fun.

I feel certain they have the inferno one sold if they get their hands on it.

White reminds me of fleet vehicles. I drive a magnetic gray and my mom drives a pyrite mica. I'm happy off white.

I'm sure they would easily sell the inferno Pro, but I'm pretty sure they really just want to 1. Sell you another new vehicle, and 2. Get a used one they can mark way over what they give you for it and make a killing on it. I don't think they really care that you personally wanted white at first.

Dealers make these 'offers' all the time.

    nothing cool
Yes dealers make money. But, if you wanted a White Pro initially and they have one now. At least they called and gave you a heads up. Are you going to lose money on the trade? Probably. But do you want white still? If so get the white. You obviously spent enough money already. Might as well get the color you wanted.

Hey Jon...I think it all depends on how good a deal they will make you and how bad you really want white. I just met a guy in Placerville who bought my TRD Exhaust and he was driving a white Sport with a front lift and nice wheels / tires....thing really looked sweet! Biggest issue with the Inferno is that it will really be a pain if it ever needs to go in the body shop (found that out as they tried to match the color for my XTR Shell). But I really love the color! Originally I was looking for either a White one or an Inferno one...Inferno came up and I love it. Then again, White would attract a lot less attention...spend way to much time at gas stations and such explaining to folks what the Pro is. Do what works for you, they are all great looking vehicles (I even love the black ones, just don't want to deal with owning a black vehicle). Good luck on you quandary.....Then again, if they will pretty much trade you straight across and you want white, go for it!

If you still want it and whatever the price difference, it it's worth it to you go for it. I wouldn't personally pay more for one colour over another.... okay, maybe there's one I would never buy..... but it's up to you. Some people can afford to be picky.

Personally I love the inferno color. Plus it is pretty rare which is also cool. I say as long as this deal isn't losing you too much money ....get the color you really want. Make no mistake about it. It's all about making money for the car dealers....they ain't doing you a special favor, they probably have a guy wanting to buy a pro but wants the inferno. Toyota sends the dealers what ever they want and the dealers don't know what pros or in what colors they are going to receive until a couple weeks before they arrive. So they know they are shortly going to get a white one and figure with a couple quick phone calls they can make 2 fast sales.

I am not going to trade. The wife said she gets the next new car, and the problem is she likes what she has for now.

Thanks. I think I am just going to put a winch and hidden winch mount on it.
