you don't want to buy any air intake for it, they are just a waste of money.

the only thing you can do to help the engine breathe better is remove the elbow connection in the side fender (its screwed onto the fender and connected to that 3" plastic tube between the air filter box ands the fender) and cut off the part behind the fender so it is wide open, then reconnect the air duct to it so it only gets clean fresh air from the fender.

I'm confused?? You want to put an intake on your truck but the seller is asking you how many hoses you have. I'm guessing when u say "seller" u are referring to the merchant thats selling the product??

Check out the deck plate mod! Its super cheap and will do exactly the same thing as an expensive cold air intake kit! You could follow keakars advice as well. I'd do both, remove that elbow and do the deck plate mod. The plate mod is reversable too! So if you're ever in a super wet or over the top dusty environment u can just put the plate in and you have excellent protection from these "engine threats"
