CVT changed the color of their logo on the travel covers, didn't know that. Looks good though!

Thanks for the help everyone! Much appreciated.

I think what I'm going to do is get 5100's all around, and just get the replacement leaf pack. I think in the long run it will save me money, and I'd rather just do it and be done with it. By the time I get everything installed and pay for labor, etc, I'd probably just save money doing it right the first time. The RTT and bedrack will, for the most part, stay on the truck most of the year. At least that's my plan. I usually work six on and then get 8-10 off, so as soon as I'm off I want to be able to just hit the road and go.

Question: Where do I find the Dakar leaf pack? Is it the same/in comparison to the wheelers replacement leaf packs?

    Thanks so much!

Thank you! The problem is the pigment wears out to quick. The orange works its way to white. So why not just start at white...lol my luck it will go to orange.

One thing that kind of bugged me was how difficult it is to get that support bar in position for the ladder overhang. I have been playing around with an idea and just received the parts I ordered a few days ago. I cut it down because I didn't like how tall it was but that wasn't totally necessary. I also added nylon washers between each contact point to not pinch or grind any fabric and help it pivot.

These are stainless steel bimini top parts for a boat. They are the exact same size as the tubing used for the overhang (1" or 25mm). I would have just bought the plastic ones but I could not find them in 1" or 25mm.

The white looks awesome in my opinion. I'll just have to wait a few years for mine to get that far haha.

The black and white looks much better I agree! Nice setup.

There is a lot good camping and wheeling in your area too! Some cool spots like the mcgrew trail and further down along the Klamath and salmon river etc, one of my favorite areas.

I like your thinking. Keep us updated on how it works out. We have been thinking about this also. We have a new solution to not having to remove your cover to put the annex on. Will show that in a couple of days.

I just finished everything up today. I think it would be best to have this type of mount in nylone. The edges of the SS mount keep wanting to dig into the aluminum rod. Also since the mount is a few inches back it doesn't keep the cover as taut. Even with these small issues, I still like it better than the original mounts. while sliding it in or out it does snag a little bit but

This is with the bar completely retracted. I used a stainless steel plate underneath to distribute some of the weight of the bar/mount:
    IMG_3526_zpswjc9vp9u_eaab035acc1f6b2a5e93bcca432291376cca6a4b.jpg

This is with the bar completely out. You can see the button spring that I used in this picture. I did take this picture before making the end caps (cut down the old nylon pivot point):
    IMG_3529_zpsfdj2348e_8539008d2e9219304657a699dc8f6ad3841dd0fd.jpg

Underside. I sandwiched both sides so that I didn't destroy the thin aluminum flooting. I did cut the bolts down flush as to not rip the cover:
