Gotcha, I am just under 2" threads showing and it rides great. I am just under 3" lift fender to center hub. Your truck looks good!!

Thanks. Well, drivers side is still over 2" to account for lean, but I don't care. Gonna run it the way it is. Rides better, and seems to handle better.

That's good, how do your cv boots look? I imagine your cv angles are much better now.

I was just out under my truck looking at that very thing. They're pretty straight. I have a diff drop and a carrier bearing drop. I know there is a lot of animosity towards the diff drop on TW, but I think it's logical. It does ride better, but I miss the height. Maybe the RCD 4.5" is the way to go. But the Icons are smooth.

I thought about that also before I bought my Icon mid setup. I just couldn't bring myself to hacking up my cross member and losing the clearance between the axles. They do look sweet though.

Just went out and remeasured. Passenger is sitting at 1.75" and the driver is a at about 2.25" to correct for the lean. I had laughed at you guys until the measuring started and it was clearly there. Seems like there is a little more lean than when it was originally installed. I drove somewhat aggressively coming home from the shop and going around curves and stuff it clearly was back to its old self. It was a bit squirrely at the higher lift and I'm not really sure why, but this is better. I also don't have as much "feel" coming through the steering. I do have a tire that's a little out of balance, but after 10k miles that's to be expected.

Since you adjusted your coil overs you should have the alignment checked. That may be contributing to the numb feeling from your steering. Glad the adjustments made it better.

What spring rate do the Icons come with? Do they differ depending on Stage?

My memory is the off-the-shelf spring is 600#. You can get 700#.

Only downside is that I now have a little rubbing on the passenger side at full lock in reverse. I see signs of a little rubbing on the drivers side, but it's not as pronounced as the passenger. So, I guess I'll get the cab-mount chop. When I first got it lifted I didn't want to hack on anything. Two years later, the new has worn off and I'm all-in. Getting sliders welded on this coming Friday. I figure there's no going back at this point.

Lol, I hear Ya. The CMC I did cleared a lot of room for the tires. Show pics after you get the slides on, I am thinking that is my next move also.

I think the axle angle looks good.

I have Avid bolt on sliders which means they attach to the step holes. Avid uses the same tubing to make their weld on sliders. I bought the parts to convert to weld and Friday is the day. Looks won't change, but function will. Hi-lift has been ordered. I'm excited because I don't believe that the stock jack will raise the truck anymore.

    Axle angle looks good!!!

I do like the Avid sliders also. I am pretty sure I am going with the weld on ones. Stock jack is pretty much useless at this point...lol

If I had known then what I know now I would have considered lots of different sliders. I'm kinda fond of BAMF since I have his behind-the-grill light bar holder and it's pretty awesome craftsmanship. But at the time I didn't want to weld or drill my frame which took me to Avid. I will say that the welds/bends, etc. all appear really nice on the Avids. I'm very happy with them and they ought to fit my needs perfectly. I toyed with just buying an entirely new set of sliders, but Avid came through with the required parts, wrapped them up and shipped them to me for something like $50. I was actually stunned how cheap it was.

I might take care of the CMC on Friday too. Is there any magic to that operation?

Nope just approximate the section you need to crop out to give you the most room for your tires. crop that section out, (recommend using a plasma cutter), trace out your cut, I used cardboard, cut your blank, and weld it in. watch the heat and stitch weld so you don't mess up your rubber mount. took a couple hours overall but not too bad.
