Here's mine with icon stage 1 and Dakar in the rear. It rides a bit stiff but idk if it broken in a bit or I'm used to it already. My mom has a '15 stock Tacoma and they drive about the same if not mine feels a bit smoother.
Details: icon stage 1 with extended travel coilovers, icon tubular UCAS, Dakar leaf springs, extended rear brake line, 17x8.5 SCS wheels, LT285/70/17 toyo at2 tires. The rear is a bit higher but it doesn't bother me. I could raise the front a bit but I like how the icons ride and feel.

I need to put back the top overload leaf into the pack, you guys think I can do it without unbolting the entire leaf pack from the frame?

I'm thinking of just unbolting the rear shock, the u-bolts, the retainer clips, let the lower leafs fall down, slide in the additional leaf, then use the jack to lift everything in place. The centering pin may cause some issues though.

    Anyone done this?

That's really good info. I want a suspension upgrade but don't want a lot of lift. I would like 2" front and not much more than 2.5 rear. I have been considering 884's for my DCLB but wonder which configuration of Dakars would work best.

OZ do you have measurements (sag) with 700 - 1000 lbs on a dakar pack? I didn't think they would drop much more than 1.5" but could be wrong.

Also I wonder if it would look goofy unloaded; 884's up front on a dclb (~2" lift or just less I guess) and full dakar pack in the rear (closer to 2.5-3").

No measurements but with 1200 lbs of timbers and my cap onboard I was just contacting the upper overload

Dakars return 2 3/4" of rear lift on average

    You can do this.

I recently removed the overload and added a progressive AAL while leaving the springs attached at the spring hangers.

Large vice grips came in handy keeping everything together :)

Above activity was performed on stock springs.
While removing overload from stock springs, and adding AAL.

    Are floor mats a mod?
    Hi Oz!
I have the full pack with extra leaf, and it was a bit jouncy but I dialed my compression on my shocks back some and left the rebound alone ( BP51s) and it's much more compliant. Have about 350 lbs extra in back with bumper tire gas and recovery box just inside the tailgate. Put the whole stack in because otherwise with all my camping gear it looks like a prohibition bootlegger with all the bro droop.
