Automatic, so 5 speed. It's a work truck and currently averages 900 km a week. About, half that with a full payload. Runs pretty good, and just regular maintenance except an idler pulley early on.

Yeah, the drivetrain seems pretty solid.

Just wanted to let the Ontario and Quebec guys know that the 8th Annual Northeaster Run is coming up on the May long weekend. May 14th to the 17th. Organized trail groups on the 15th and 16th followed by a huge raffle dinner on the evening of the 16th.

This all takes place at Rausch Creek Offroad Park in Tremont PA. This is a Toyota based Run that began life as an FJ thing. We get more Taco's and 4R's ever y year along with other Land Cruisers..

This run is our premier event of the season and our largest get together of the year. Last year we had over 120 trucks registered. Mostly Toyota but other makes are more than welcome to join us for the 4 days of fun with old and new friends. The raffle dinner that occurs Saturday night is a high point not to be missed. Sponsors from the 4x4 world from all over the US and Canada donate for our raffle. All funds are then donated to the chosen charity. (past runs have supported Make a Wish, Toys For Tots, ACD research)

    4 Days this year.
Thursday, May 14th- Non organized trail runs. Many arrive Thursday evening.
Friday, May 15th- Organized trail groups. Be in the staging at Rausch 8am
Saturday, May 16th- Organized trail groups. Be at Rausch at 8am. Raffle dinner following around suppertime @ Twin Grove KOA meeting hall.
Sunday, May 17th- Non organized trail runs.

Don't ya hate how tough it is to find a SWB DBL in Canada? I like the long box for practical reasons but the short bed just has that cool factor....

What is SWB? I think the long box looks better in my opinion

I had a 1990 4wd Toy Pick Up. Sort of an orphan. Standard cab long box with a 22RE auto. Sold it in Moncton NB in '98 with 425,000 on it.

In 2007 I sold a '98 Taco 2.7 auto xtracab 4x4 with 453,000km on it to a guy in the Mirimachi. He was aiming it for Fort Mac.

My 2007 FJ now has 270,000kms on it and going strong

SWB is the Short Wheel Base .... The SWB in a Double Cab is popular in the states

I thought short wheel base as well. Doesn't matter long as you know what your talking about I guess. My friend found his DCSB manual 6 speed within a few weeks after his 1st gen was totaled
