What is this bushing called, and is it easy and cheap to replace?

The past couple days I've heard a slight clunking noise when I pull into my driveway or park in my spot at work. Looked underneath and found whats in the picture. I don't know what it's called. Is it cheap and easy to replace?
I'm getting divorced, so hoping it's cheap to fix. The other side is not broken like that FYI.
This is on a 05 prerunner trd offroad.

 

Thats your upper ball joint. The part is relatively cheap but its not a fun job. And you'll need an alignment afterward.

 

great. Well, I am not going to be doing it myself, so I guess I'll just bend over and take it.

 

Unfortunately thats the fact of it, my best advice is to find a reputable mechanic to do the joint, and maybe find a shop who just does alignments to do the alignment, it usually works out to be cheaper that way. And search ebay for the OEM ball joint. Oem is the best because then itll last another 10 years

 

any idea on a ball park amount to do one?

 

Id say about 2.5 hours book time, and I know the Toyota dealer charges $110 an hour, but independent repair shops generally charge lower than that. And an alignment will cost about $60 - $100
