Just wondering if anyone has been up in the Rampart area...looking to do some 4-wheeling since they just opened up Rampart Range Road!

They did? All the notices and stuff I see on the website say it's still closed. For example this same order I mentioned in the Slaughterhouse thread covers Rampart as well, closed until May 31st: http://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/psicc/alerts-notices/?aid=27391 Now it does say unless otherwise rescinded, but I'd definitely call the district station and make sure before heading up.

Definitely open....went up Jackson creek rd from 105 to rampart range rd then RRR to Long Hollow Rd then down 350A to rainbow falls and just drove around from there! Trails and roads were dry and dusty with just small patches of mud and snow....overall a great day!

Good to know. I kind of wondered because there was a status report that said everything facing south and west was pretty much dry, but then they have all those conflicting orders and closure notices which is why I suggested calling.

I took a quick trip to rampart today. There's a good amount of snow on Rampart Range Road. I only ventured a few miles up cause my recovery equipment is limited to a shovel at this point and i was flying solo so i didn't want to risk getting stuck. That shovel got put to good use though, helped a couple kids (probably early 20's) dig out their f150 king ranch with the temporary tags still on it. I also spent some time playing with the different driving modes (locker and atrack) that come on the trd off road. I had a lot of fun today and am looking forward to getting this rig more capable. Here is a pic of what RRR looks like about a mile in.
