I'm getting close to needing a new set of shoes for my Silver 06 DCSB and when I buy a new set I'm also thinking about putting a new set of wheels on it too. I'm having difficulty deciding which ones I want. Hopefully y'all can help with input in any way possible. I'm going to be running 285/70/R17's

Right now I'm stuck between SCS SR8 in Matte Gunmetal OR Black, Countersteer Type X's in light Gunmetal OR Flat Black, and finally the New TRD FJ wheels.

I'm open to other options I just don't want anything too flashy. I'm really thinking about black but I want to avoid the "Black Hole" look I've seen a few times which is why i have the Gunmetal on my list. Please give any feedback you have.

    Thanks for the help!!

SR8's in gunmetal, followed by black, then TRD. You can also get the TRD's in gunmetal i believe.

I vote SR8 in gunmetal. I think our silver trucks need a little more than just solid black wheels.

Pick what you like. Someone else isn't paying for them so why should they decide? :)

I prefer the TRD wheels myself.

    Josh,

The photo you posted is actually our old matte light bronze. This is matte gunmetal.

Andrew is correct, you should pick what you prefer best. All wheels that you mentioned are great looking wheels so you really can't go wrong.

Just for reference, here's a silver Tacoma with matte gunmetal.

If you were to choose the FJ wheels check out the Mickey Thompson sidebiter rims. They look rather similar and could save you some money.
