I bought a programmable key from neneago as well. I then got it cut at a local hardware store and I programmed the buttons myself. However, I'm stuck at entering the keycode into the vehicle's computer. I attempted to enter the keycode myself with the Techstream software and cables that you can buy off of eBay, but none of them have worked. Apparently none work with the 2015 Tacomas. Anyway, I was able to return one Techstream cable but not the other.

Ultimately, I probably should have paid the dealer, but they want over $100. It's not that I'm cheap or can't afford it. It's the principle of the matter. It kinda pisses me off that they charge so much for something that takes two minutes at best.

So for now I do nothing. Maybe someday in the future if I have to take the vehicle in for something I can talk them into doing it for free. We'll see.

Ended up doing a bunch of wiring for the accessories i got (auxiliary lights for camping, 12v compressor etc)

Used some nice "T Connectors" aka deans clips from the RC car world... they are SMALL plugs but they are good for like 80amps which is more than plenty for everything i got. So i got a small pigtail right at the battery so i can plug my compressor in there to air the fronts, and popped another pigtail off the 12v socket wiring i already had at the back of the truck ... link for that in sig.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
drove it to work and back and used this oppertunity to try out the new software. Tonight it gets a bath I hope.
