    Hi,
My wife has a stock 2004 Taco Dbl cab, It has 87k miles on it. We went looking for a new surf fishing spot off road a couple of weeks ago along Delaware bay. The taco went swimming in a big puddle that you couldn't go around. We made it out of the pool OK but the water was over the hood and half way up the windshield. She got really scared when we had to go back through it to get out. I received permission to lift the truck and get bigger tires on it. I will be doing the work on it myself. I ordered a Tough country 2.5" lift kit and we are looking at MotoMetal Skulls 17 inch rims and maybe some wheel spacers to get the 33x12.50R17 tires under it. We wont be dong any jumping or serious rock crawling, mostly sand and mud at low speeds, along he beach or bay. The truck is her daily drive, about 5 mi to her work. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated as I am fairly new to the lifting hobby

Try not to run the spacers. just get the Right BS on the wheels. with a small amount of trimming I got my 33/13/16 TSLs to fit. with a 2.5" lift.

    Thanx guys,
    BTW
A snorkle was discussed today and approved by congress (wife). She wants me to airbrush a skull and crossbones on the hood with "Pirate Girl" banner. I think it will look pretty good when I'm done. I never hear abbout any airbrush work lately. She picked the wheels out and the Mickey thompson claw tires

No water in the cab, Paint, but it took 2 + hours to hose all the salt out of the frame/ engine room/ undercariage. I'm putting in a 2.5" suspension lift. I' m hoping the 33"s will squeeze in there. Shes totally stoked to get her truck done up. She loves surf fishing too, she has more gear than I do!
