Lucky you, the Los Angeles area dealers haven't been helpful at all. I even have a case number with Toyota.

My service manager was the one that called toyota. When i brought it in....he said that he could not do it. That was on Saturday...but I had to bring the truck back on Monday for something else. My dad dropped off the truck cause I was at work thinking that they would call me or give me an update on the TSB...when I got off work they said they were working on the bed and that the TSB was already done. I would walk in there and tell them that you are not going to service your truck there anymore...for a little TSB they would rather have your business later...at least my dealer did.

I've had over 800 lbs in my bed and did'nt bottom out at all......matter of fact my rear end kinda feels real stiff to begin with.I also have the 3 springs with the identical numbers that the TSB calls for.I tow my trailer with over 3500 lbs and my rear end hardly even sags and I tested by hitting hard dips at speed with no issues whatsoever.Pic of truck loaded with 2 quads and massive amounts of camping gear in the trailer:

I just wanted it anyways...4 leafs has to be better than having just 3 on there. I love the ride so far...but this point will be mute once I get a new suspension...figure if I can work the dealer I would.

Good shit, it could be because the truck is newer, the springs haven't settled. I'd still get it done, absolutely, since it looks like you really use your truck as a truck. For someone that doesn't put anything in the back or tow anything, it wont make a diff. But for you, I'd definately have it done.

I have an 05 waaay out of warranty. The TSB will not be done on my truck. I was wondering if upgrading to 5100's all around will help the ride smooth out a little? Im just looking to get rid of the rough stuff during city driving. Any help would be great. 05 DC TRD OR... Thanks again!

The service rep just called and told me the TSB is only for 4X4's. Thankfully I had a copy of the TSB and reminded him that the document states 4X4 or Prerunner Tacomas. I have to take to them so they can diagnose the problem before the repairs can be done.

5100 all the way aruond would be the least expensive and a huge improvement over TRD shocks in my opinion...if you have the sr5 in a 05 then it will be very noticable...I had a Tundra with 5100s...loved it

Exactly my set up and love it. Though after a year it has settled out and just got an alignment again today and things had changed. Set the Caster up this round and love the ride and steering with stock UCA's. Helped a friend move today so hooked up to the trailer after the alignment and what a difference!! Rides level with this set up while loaded or towing and only slightly tail high running light.

I did mine and really felt only minor differences. As many say, it has more of a truck like feel, with a very soild ride overall. I heard the same thing, it would be very stiff and a horrible ride. Bull shit! :D

Hey taco miker, did you have the dealership put on the bilsteins when they were doing the tsb? I was thinking of trying to get the dealership to put the tsb in and then once i have an appointment i would ask if they could put the bilsteins on at the same time. I wouldnt want them to overcharge me though so i was wondering if this is what you did, how much they charged you?
