Great pictures. Thanks much. Do you have stock front suspension?

Ditto what JTDTacoma said. My truck was hitting the bump stops even unladen when going over a curb. The TSB upgrade made it ride better. The 5100s at 1.75 or .85 should continue to ride great without needing to get additional work done.

I couldn't agree with you more. I have had no issues with bottoming out and I sure as hell don't need a stiffer ride. There's no way I am getting the TSB done even if it is free.

Geez, it's not like you guys are buying a car or a house. It's free, it fixes a known issue, and prevents further issues. Get it done while you can.

Or see if they'll give you the parts to "do it yourself" and then sell them.

Here's my New 2008 TRD Offraod 4x4 with only 29 miles! The Dealership said that they, "Lost it in inventory." So, i got a good deal.

I am too debating on whether to get it or not and I intend on pulling a 5200# Mastercraft.

I like the ride now, and It looks pretty high to begin with: I will measure and get some stats.

    Was curious

how high a Stock Suspension with/without Tsb was/is?

And how high a TRD SPort is with/without is/was?

And how high a TRD Offroad is with/without is/was?

Hers is Stock 2008 TRd OffRoad.

At the center of my rear wheels, my wheel well pre-stb was 36.5". After the TSB springs it measures 37.5".
It is a 2008 DC TRD sport with 265/70/17 tires (tires up one size from stock)

Do you have upgraded front suspension? Did you have the TSB done?

Does the tsb that everyone on here is talking about apply to 2010 models? I have a 4cylinder access cab that I picked up day before yesterday and it has 3 leafs.

    Just for reference....

I had it done. I cant tell a bit of difference in the ride...No worse, no better. It might have looked a little higher when i got it home...after a month of driving it...i cant even tell it was higher...either it settled or i just got used to it...

I do know i can haul a lot more stuff and not worry about bottoming out. I used to make 2 trips to lowes for patio bricks and mortar and 2x4s. now i can put more weight in the bed and not really worry about it bottoming out...

As for having to spend more money to make it look good...its not life or death.
Nobody is going to look at your truck and say, damn, your bed sits higher than the motor, you should have got 5100's and bigger tires...

    would i like 5100s...yes would i like a size bigger tire...yes do i need them...no

my advice to anybody who is on the fence...I was in the same boat. I rescheduled 3 times to get mine done. Its worth it. if nothing else, just for the peace of mind....IF you EVER HAVE to haul something heavy, you wont worry...you wont hit a speed bump and feel your truck bottom out and think...Wonder if i would have gotten the extra spring...

Get it done. Its free, toyota screwed up the springs and are trying to fix them. Put back 15 bucks a pay check for 5100s and buy them in a year or so if it bothers you that much.

I don't know all the specifics, but I think it will in about a year when they update the TSB for the 2010 models. 08's were updated in September of that year and 09's were in October. Some were getting them done prior in good faith.

So... I decided to keep my 3 leafs for now. The truck will be 3 years next week so I'm going to have to live with this decision or spend the money on aftermarket leafs later on.

I guess I'm just happy with stock ride. Even during the 2 years that it took me to finish my basement, I never had a problem hauling anything for that project. Maybe it was because the springs were newer then.

I do appreciate all the responses from you guys. Thanks for posting before and after pix. Your trucks have awesome after-tsb pix.
