I've only had the 2009 Taco for a few months and 5000 miles, but I'm considering trading it for a 2008 Limited 4-door 4X4 Tundra with 8000 miles. Listed on Autotrader for $32k, Toyota Certified.
Love the Taco, but it's just too underpowered for me.

It has the TRD exhaust, side steps, and rubber mats. also has at least 20 coats of wax.
I've seen them on Autotrader for around $32k. If I can trade the guy evenly for the Tundra, I'll jump on the deal.

    More power=more gas.

That is the #1 complaint of Tundra owners I know.

Get a supercharger...not to mention the resale on the tundra sucks compared to the resale on a taco.

don't really care about the gas. $50/ week or $80/week won't kill me.
As far as resale, the original owner took a 10k hit on this truck, most of the damage has already been done.

But a tundra is cool. You could look at getting the intake, exhaust and a new chip. Those three will help with fuel economy; I saw an episode on Trucks where they did all three and lifted the truck 6". It looked sick!

But a super charger would be cheaper in the end...

Why would you want a truck if your not going to use it as a truck?

Where does it say that you have to haul crap, drive it off road & beat the snot out of it to justify owning a truck?
Why can't you own something because you like the look, ride, value, features, and comfort?

Besides, up to last November, this was still a free country (ha ha)

its your money and your truck, do what you want. If you like the tundra, get the tundra, but resale is so much better for the taco
