has anyone used this style lift for the rear?

Has anyone added coils between leaf springs and frame? They say is a better ride than stock....

I think a Member on ttora did it. I was reading his thread a while back about it. according to him it rids softer but it allowed him to have a load in the bed.

but that's a linked rear, so technically different concept altogether...

 

I am going to do this, probably use 12" springs at 125lbs..Just want two inches. I have a friend that can make me the brackets for free so just the cost of coils around $70....Not too bad..

 

it looks intersting, but probably works quite well for hauling larger loads, and for ride comfort

 

Why would you want to combine them?

The coils aren't really doing anything other than offering strength for heavier weight in the bed.

If you overload the bed (because you have this setup) - you take the chance of breaking the axle itself. The suspension is one thing, but the load capacity of the axle is different.

 

its def for load not lift. yeah you get a little lift out of it but its a load thing

I would just AAL or upgrade springs before i would put those in, even though my option is costlier (and i already did it...OME springs)

 

The member on TTORA was stealth 4X4. He put the spring in to help compensate for all of the gear in the back.
