+1.... I usually apply my armorall when its wet, so I guess I do it the same way as you. I generally just clean my tires with a brush and wash soap.

I always (before tire dressing products were readily available) used to use brake fluid. Put some on a rag and wipe the sidewalls...really cleans them down to fresh rubber.

Now though, I use "Grape Tire Dressing" I buy it by the gallon off the Web. I hate shiny tires..."rubber" just ain't supposed to shine ! Grape tire dressing leaves a nice matt finish and lasts pretty long. A gallon of the stuff lasts a long time too.

I have used this stuff for years, looks clean and not too shiny, and holds a good look for a long time, especially if its not raining. it does not fling up and all over everything much, if it does, it is easy to clean off.

in my opinion, the easiest and best

Any tire shine stuff works for me. I don't need anything special.
I like Stoner stuff because it doesn't foam up and just sprays on.

The key for me, is to apply the dressing to a clean surface and then wipe/buff off the excess. Then I'll apply another light coat and wipe off excess. I might be crazy, but it seems to increase the durability and it seems to look good for a bit longer.

Found Black Magic Tire wet - Best stuff for tires and black Plastic.

Ice is good but will not hold up after a couple of times in the rain.
