New bed lights. Suggestions on hood scoop.

So I picked up these two heavy duty offroad lights for my bed bar. I like them. Havent wired them yet though. I will probably only put one on and put a firestick on the other end. Then I picked up this stick on hood scoop from autozone. 40 bucks. I took it out to see what it will look like. I might take it back. Any suggestions? It comes black and it paintable. If I kept it I would probably leave it black and paint the mesh black as well.

What if I had black rhinoed fenders? Still ugly?

 

Maybe if the scoop was grey to match the truck it'll look better. Not to fussy over it, maybe its the black. Sorry its just my opinion, maybe others will chime in

uhh...no.

Definitely not. There are certain aisles of stores which nobody should EVER go down. The chrome/decals/stickons/skulls section of autozone is one of them, and basically the entire jc whitney catalog.

The stock tacoma scoops look siiiiick though. Maybe get a bigger one?

Thanks for the replies. I didnt know how hideous it was until I took it off and set it on the hood. I was just testing it out. Sounds like I will return it. lol.


As for the bed lights, do you guys think it would look better on cutting the inside crosshatched cover out. So the light is completely exposed? im on the fence about this.

 

Nah. Leave them on. Even if they're plastic, they'll still provide a litte protection just in case anything in your bed ever strikes them.

 

Return those Autozone ones that cost you $40 and that dam Hood Scoop.

Go to Harbor Freight and get those Fogs for $15. Best you can buy for cheap. They're real nice also...Saves you $$$$$
