Sorry, another tonneau thread...

I know this subject has been beaten to death. Trust me, I have read every thread on TW about Access Roll-Up covers and Extang Trifectas. I think that is what has added to my confusion. Everyone seems to like both.

Anyhow, I have finally sold my Fold-A-Cover from my previous truck. I am ready to buy one for my Tacoma. I want to go soft-cover this time. I have a hard time spending the same amount of $$$ for half the material.

Is there anyone that has experience with the Roll-up and Trifecta? Is there any advantages of one over the other? Sorry for whippin' the same old horse.

I got the roll-n-lock cover. I really like it. It's mostly dry inside, except for right around the tailgate when it rains. Downside is cost, and the loss of the built in bed rails. Since it mounts on the factory rails, install is fairly easy. You can find them online for about $1,000 with free shipping.

i have an extang trifecta. it came with the truck and was installed when the previous owner purchased the truck. i have noticed now that the cover is started to crack and peel very easily now . for example, when i lift up the cover and fold it over, you can see cracks in the vinyl open up. oh and its stretching like crazy (i put my lunch box on it and you could see a good imprint of it).

i was hoping to get another year out of it but i think the winter is going to really kill it. i'm hoping to get an extang solid tri fold once this one is pooched

 

I have the trifecta and love it. I never had a roll-up so can't really comment on them. Very happy with the trifecta. The price was great, its light, easy to remove and put back on, looks good, great warrenty, waterproof, easy to fold in bad weather conditions, very easy to install, and seems to be built very well. No issues with mine

 

I have the Retrax roll-up. The bed stays completely dry. The only issue I had was something that went wrong with the locking cylinder (my key wouldn't unlock it) so I called the place I bought it from and they installed a new one for me free of cost. Also the material is durable. Mine has one hole in it from when I was trying to get ice off of it and smashed it with a shovel lol...so as long as you avoid that you should be fine.

Anyone have any experience with the Lund Genesis Tri-fold? I looks basically the same as the Trifecta but about 50 bones cheaper.

Extang Tuff tonneau ... Zero complaints.

 

Don't spend as much and go with the Access Literider. Less than $300 from Truckalterations.com.
