    A few bolts are different.
best advice I would have for that is to go to the pick and pull to get yourself some stock uca's/knuckles and do a 3" lift + the body lift you currently have. also get smaller tires. unfortunately your used to getting new tires.....

That won't work, the axles are 3" shorter, IIRC.

I learned something today, that's twice this month. I don't think I like this trend.

    back to the original problem

i think both solutions are feasible...however a SAC is like opening a can of worms

either scrounging up the required OEM parts to get it back right + proper lift components or finish cutting the stock + trailmaster trash off and SAC the truck

If you have the knowledge/tools...or know a buddy who does...it'll save time, money, and trouble

an axle can be found for pretty reasonable prices and then rebuilt to what you need, but youre going to spend a lot of time and possibly money fine tuning the suspension etc until you get it "right" but when youre done...you'll essentially have a great start to an awesome trail truck

replacing stock parts is going to be easier to do, but possibly harder to dig up parts unless you go somewhere like ttora/yotatech/pbb/etc to find someone else who is going into a SAC and is willing to sell you his old stuff when he takes it off the truck...

lots of good deals to be found that way...

I don't know that they would fit, but I probably have most of the parts needed in my garage left over from when I replaced my shocks/springs/UCAs.
