So I signed up a few days ago as part of my research phase as I get close to buying my first Tacoma. Thought I would say hi.

Basically I've finally outgrown my 2000 Subaru Impreza RS. Even though it's lasted me 200k and nearly 10 years now, hauling everything from bikes and skis on the roof rack, people and/or the entire contents of my dorm (back in the day) inside, more bikes on a hitch rack, etc... My recent purchase of a 2007 CRF250R has fasttracked my daydreams of finally owning another truck.

...Well, I guess the old FJ62 Landcruiser wasn't technically a truck, but I sure as hell never called it a SUV.

Anyway, I've only ever considered Toyota for my truck needs and I've wanted a Tacoma for the last 6 years or so, but now I'm actually taking the steps to get one. Looking at new 2010 Double Cab short-bed 4x4 Off Road's, leaning towards white, but color isn't that important. Hopefully buying by the end of the month.

Probably do a lot of lurking till then, reading up as much as I can...

Not sure what else to say, so here's some picks of the current vehicles, since I know everyone always loves pictures.

little old blue (without it's usual assortment of roof and hitch racks):
