San Diego International Auto Show - Is anyone here going?

Hi guys,
I'm going! But before I go and spend money to buy tickets, I was wondering if anyone here has a hook up for a free ride in (no punt intended). I was also thinking that if there was plenty of interest, we could caravan to the auto show.

When do you plan on going?

 

I'd like to go on Friday, Jan. 1st.

Wednesday, December 30, 2009: 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Thursday, December 31, 2009: 10:00 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday, January 1, 2010: 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, January 2, 2010: 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Sunday, January 3, 2010: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

 

But of course i go evry year...

 

I do plan on going dont know which day yet.

 

The 1st or 2nd sound good to me. If the Family doesnt wanna go Ill go myself.

 

i go every year ill probably go on the third cuz im on vacation until the 2nd

 

Anyone going saturday?

 

I wish I could go again. I drove the trail edition 4Runner and oh yeah the Limited too! Sweet rides. I was there at 10am and loved the little traffic in there.
By the way... it was a little disappointing. No Mercedes, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Hummer, among others. I expected not to see Saturn and Ponitac but the others? Bummer. They even had a small section that reminded me of the Del mar Fair grounds with stuff (booths) to buy.

 

LOL well i am still gonna check it out got my camera to take them nice shots.

 

On a side note, I did get the chance to drive one of these while I was there.

 

Nice cant wait to see the rides.

 

Yeah bro, i was kinda bummed at this years auto show.. it seems that they are getting weaker and weaker by the year...

 

Everything was on the first floor. Nothing on the second. Toyota didn't even do the off road adventure like in years past. To boot, the first first wasn't even all cars. What a bummer.

 

Very true nothing really made me wanna stay, but my highlight was meeting and chatting with ivan stewart very cool guy and glad to see him back in the race scene.

 

Some highlights from LA...

 

They had the raptor sim here last year.. but no more... I got a good giggle at the muddy score 4runner. These 2 dudes were talking to their GF's that there was nothing special about the truck, all they did was change the shocks....

 

I liked the spare lower control arms!

 

So I thought I'd bring this thread back up. Anyone plan on going? We're on the fence about Fri the 31st or the 1st.
