Favorite Brand of Gas

As long as it explodes...

 

Costco. Only 100% gasoline in the area. All the others have ethanol. Its always .05 cheaper. And with an AmEx card I get 3% cashback.

 

I'd have to anwer "Other". We don't have ANY of those brands in Colorado Springs.

 

i had never heard of sinclair til about 2 wks ago.

but i chose shell gasoline, ive never had a problem with it.

We only have a BP and a Parkers close by. Parkers is cheeper but it's usualy out of my way...too bad the BP is about 0.10 more expensive

 

It depends whats around me mostly i use Chevron, Shell and sometimes 7 eleven gas.

 

I go to mostly chevron.

 

Exxon because my dad works for them and i get it free

+1. As a construction inspector for a local govt, I had the opportunity to work on a project at the Citgo tank farm. I learned some interesting things talking to the guys that work there.

The most suprising thing for me was when they told me that they store diesel and one kind of gasoline in huge storage tanks. The guys said additives are added at the pump stations that fill the tanker trucks to get the different octane ratings.

 

How did the leader of the oil industry not make the poll list??

EXXON. Yes I know Mobil is on the list and Exxon Mobil is the same main company... but when I stop to get gas the station has an Exxon Sign on it, not Mobil.

I almost always go to Exxon, but if not there I go to BP as a second choice.

At work, most all the cars that have fuel injector problems and other fuel-related issues were using generic gas. On the flip side, most all the cars with 200+k miles with no problems use good gas, which in Hawaii we only have Shell, Chevron and 76 as name brand fuels.

Something to think about, yes all gas is pretty much the same and the only difference is the additives they use..... the additives make all the difference! Gas by itself is just a dirty liquid hydrocarbon! My 2 cents.

 

I use shell 93 conventional with nitrogen, but I think the chevron with techron is good gas also! IMO you should always use a quality name bran gas in ur truck! I will run better! All of our gas here comes from marathon oil, they make all the major brands of fuel!
