I was just playing around yesterday, and I got curious, so I put the truck in 4-lo and idled out in first. Wow, the gearing in 4-lo is ridiculous...

    First gear is 3.95
    Final drive is 4.10 (4-banger)
    4-lo gives 2.56

    3.95 * 4.1 * 2.56 = 41.5

    Engine at 1000rpm
    1000rpm / 41.5 = 24.1rpm at the wheels

    Tire circumference of 95.7"
24.1 rotations per minute * 95.7 inches per rotation = 2306 inches per minute

    2306 inches per minute * (1 mile / 60360 inches) * (60 minutes / 1 hour) = 2.29 mph

    The truck was definitely crawling.

Heh, it actually didn't register accurately that slowly. Although my math doesn't account for slowness due to the weight of the truck, etc, so I probably didn't even go that fast. :)

Used mine last night for the first time, switched it over while in drive at a stop and my truck started beeping like it was going to blow up, then i remember it needed to be in neutral :frusty: after that it worked like a charm and was a lot of help coming down
