    Hey all,

    My name is Nick I live in Long Beach and this is my 3rd Toyota Truck. The first 2 cleared 200K and at 65K on my 06' I am pretty sure she'll get me there also! This is my first venture into the Forum World looks like a pretty useful place to get info on cool stuff and info for my Taco. My Brother has worked at TRD in Torrance for 16 years and together we have raced a taco in Class 7S of the SCORE series since 2003 so hopefully I can be of some use to you all as well.

    If you are successful at your racing series in your class, and consistently get in the top 10 of most races is there money to be won that keeps your team going or is the racing mostly funded privatly?

    We won the Baja 1000 in 2004 and lost about 10 grand after all the purse and contingency Money so no there is no way to win enough to support the habit. My brother Dad and I split the cost three ways and we have a group of volunteers call the "Long Beach Racers" who wrench for free Pizza and Beer and through in a little cash for seat time.
