I have some halos HIDs and I totally love them. You can see them fairly well in my sig, otherwise I have better shots on my cardomain.

Yeah in order to get the true effect of HID's, you are going to need some projector headlights. I have both HIDs in my headlights and fogs.;)

    concerning brands:
    projectors : FX-Rs
    ballasts: matsushita
    bulbs: phillips 85122
headlights: OEM ones (since they are the best and will not fog up like the egay ones!);)

    Yes they are.

Not 100% done yet, but 99% done, assuming everything still lines up when I bolt the headlights back onto the truck. Otherwise, I'm screwed. :(

Just waiting for my new Morimoto ballasts to show up. Should be here Mon. I originally bought the Mitsubishi ballasts, but they were not as advertised and sent them back.

I dont know if they are the best, but they were advertised as "New" when I bought them from TRS.

Well when I received them, they were obviously not. With the package, there was a letter from TRS stating the issue about how they were in fact used and I had options.....

But I wanted to use the Mitsu because they were compact and "waterproof". Matt told me they were suppose to get another shipment of Mitsu during Christmas and they were suppose to be new.

So I waited for the shipment to arrive, but they turned out to be used again. So Matt told me they were getting some new Morimoto ballasts. Suppose to be good quality. He sent me a few pics, and I decided to give those a shot.

This works out pretty well for me, because the Mitsubishi ballast caps, have these weird angle on it.

The angle neck area, was pressing up against the rubber boot/housing and could be a potential problem. I tried what I could to make it fit a little bit better. But I was afraid it would eventually pull my bulb out of the socket if I hit something hard.

The Morimoto looks to have the standard aftermarket cap, where it's straight, so I'm hoping it works out better.
