How Does This Audio Setup Look?

Looking for input on the components I decided on. Trying to keep the expenses lower. I use my iPod 99% of the time and just want a budget, well-rounded system. I used Crutchfield links for reference, though most items were purchased elsewhere to save some coin.

I know its a fairly budget build as this stuff adds up fast once you figure installation! (dont trust myself to install amps) but I wanted something affordable and sensible that would be an improvement over stock and that would still leave me some money to put on some new Duratracs. So keep in mind I was shooting for improvement without going too far into it. I still would appreciate any opinions etc.

What do you all think? BTW the CDA-105 is already installed...

Stock rear speakers? Amp powering the sub and front components? I suggest listening to speakers before buying blind. That is my one and only tip when building a sound system.

 

Bump for a few changes...you guys think this simple rig will sound good?

 

I am no stereo builder master, but I recently had a really nice system installed and I learned a couple of things. The mono amp is for your subwoofer only. So how you gonna power the front speakers? Your sub will be getting 300 - 400 watts while your front door speakers will get a few watts from your Alpine? Like I said I am no stereo builder but I don't think you will be happy after you get over the "newness"

Get components for sure. I heard a few shallow subs and I was not impressed at all. Not sayn they are all bad but the ones I heard including that pioneer was not impressive.

 

Yeah the fronts will be powered just by the HU for now. Id like to get an amp down the line, just not yet. I would think it would still sound pretty good though right? The system sounds incredibly better with just a new HU now, so I figured with some aftermarket speakers and a modest amp/sub combo it should sound even better.

What would components do to improve the system? (forgive my ignorance.)
Am I off track?

components seperate your mids from your highs. Those alpines are a nice speaker for a starting system. as long as you amp them they should sound good
