MAG on PS3...anyone heard of it?

saw this article on yahoo about MAG....up to 256 players in one map the size of a GTA map...internal rank structure and leadership manned by other players w/ more experience....sounds pretty pimp. supposedly comes out today, but havent seen anything about it until today....

Yeah, i was part of the beta group... It was definitely fun, but didn't work how it should have for a few reasons. 1) my internet was simply not up to par to handle everything that was going on all at once. It did alright, but I do live out here in the middle of nowhere with stupid satellite internet. 2) The maps and bugs were not fully ironed out yet, which led to some collision issues as well as severe lighting issues here and there, of which I am sure they will iron out by release. 3) People simply do not like to listen... After being so accustomed to COD, people have trouble lying in wait for even a few secons before they dart out and do their own thing.

Overall, it was very fun, and I will most likely buy it to be perfectly honest. This turned out to be that big game that flew under the radar. It did this because it really only has one major bullet to its arsenal, and that is the 256 multiplayer. To be honest, I never actually had a match I don't think where 256 players were involved. I have my sketchy internet, and it placed me in with others like myself. Those of us with terrible internet are getting fewer and further in between. Will I get this game? Probably. If I were you, would I wait until a solid ign.com or the like review comes out to see the final polished product? Definitely.
