I had a red light in my old dodge that got brighter / dimmer according to noise. It was pretty cool to park in the dunes with the doors open, subs pounding and the red light moving to the music

It all depends on the state. Most states do not require red lights on police vehicles. Most require blue and in some states the police are the only ones authorized to utilize blue lights.

From my experience in AZ I can tell you that you have a 99% chance of being pulled over if an officer see's those lights on while your on the road.

 

lol... I'm suprised to see this thread back... anyways, thanks again for the comments! If anyone is looking for the scanner... its the plasmaglow led scanner (comes in a variety of colours). The website I ordered from was a bigtime hassle so I wouldn't bother ordering from them. They also jacked the price up since I purchased mine, so I think with some searching you'll be able to find it at a good price. The scanner still works awesome and it gives my buddies a kick when I drive up on them.

 

Just ordered one the other day in red. I just have to try this mod!! I'll post a video as soon as I get this bastard installed!!
