42In. Plasma hdtv

Hey guys im selling a basically brand new samsung 42 in. plasma hdtv for 500obo

 

You are paying for the shipping? To Canada?

 

What do you consider "basically brand new" ? How old is it and did you purchase any type of warranty?

 

at least a model number?

and there is no warranty and its basically brand new because i have only had it for two mnonths and just need to downsize

 

Two months? Should still be a manufacturer's warranty.

If you're shipping do you have the original box and packing materials? Will it be insured? I used to work for a very high end custom home audio and automation shop, and I was absolutely shocked at some of the packages that shipping companies wanted us to sign for. The worst was a Runco plasma that had a fork lift fork driven through it and out the back side. The fact that the freight company even brought it to our loading dock was beyond comprehension.

 

i dont have box or packing but i will ship with teh proper materials

 

shipping a plasma of that size properly is $100 or more.

With plasma TVs, the TV has to be upright during shipment and you can't tip the box at anytime during shipment. Since the surface is all glass, laying the TV with the glass facing up or down could very likely result in cracked glass due to the weight of such a large glass surface. When I got my 42 Plasma shipped, the container came with a "tip meter" where if the meter indicates it was tipped, then I was advised to send the box back to the seller.
