Pizza Is ON Dude!

Just finished making this:





Made the crust from Bisquick, water, flour, a little oil and some shredded cheddar cheese. Let sit for half and hour and then kneaded to perfection and rolled out to about 12-14 inches.

Drizzled the crust with cold pressed olive oil, coated it with chipotle bbq sauce, then layered on mozzarella cheese, chopped jalapeno peppers, chopped pepperoncini peppers, chopped red onion and a healthy sprinkle of shredded, sharp cheddar cheese.

The final touch was chopped pepperoni and a dusting of garlic powder around the outer crust. I put the pepperoni on last so it would toast up on top and become almost bacon like crisp. Yeah!

Serve with your favorite chilled beverage and it's art!

Thats probably taste better than the frozen pizza I just made. I forgot to take the cardboard off the bottom!

Per yallz PM - Sorry for the omission on the recipe. Here is how I prepared my pizza dough:

Bisquick Pizza Crust



1 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/3 cup very hot water
1/4 cup sifted flour
1 tsp vegatable oil

Mix the above ingredients. Turn onto a surface well dusted with Bisquick mix and roll to coat it. Knead the dough till smooth and no longer sticky, about 60 times. Roll into a 12 inch circle and place on a greased 12 inch cookie sheet, brush the top with olive oil.

Put your desired ingredients on top. Bake on lowest oven rack until crust is brown, 20 to 25 minutes.

I allowed the mix to 'rest' about 30 minutes before kneading and rolling to allow the yeast to do it's thing.

The pizza crust ended up being moist and crisp on the bottom and very crisp around the edges.

BTW - I added 1/4 shredded cheddar cheese to the mix before the 'rest' period.

Final prep note:

Preheat oven to 400. Cook for 22 minutes, turn off oven, do not open door, and let it bubble for another 10 minutes.
