I'm looking to get a set of Westin Stainless nerf bars. Where do you feel the best, most reasonable place is to purchase them? I prefer new.

Check these guys out as well. I picked up my Aires nerf bars here.

I had a problem with the wrong item being shipped by the manufacturer. They bent over backwards making things right for me. Good customer service.

Just make sure you want that round tubed style before you jump to conclusions. It seems like more and more people on TW these days are going with the N-Fab style with the side steps or sliders. I have black, round tubed style ones and will eventually get some side steps from Avid Off-Road.;)

I picked up my Westin's about 6 months ago and like them a lot. When doing the research for them the add at Autoanything said they bolted to the frame. THIS IS NOT THE CASE! I was uber upset because this is what I was looking for. Autoanything was the cheapest on the net 6 months ago and I received them in less than a week.

I just bought and installed a pair of Westin from this website

http://stores.got-chrome.com/Items/...ainless Nerf Bars Tacoma Double Cab 2005-2010

Extremely fast shipping and very high quality. They also have a great deal on the bull bar, I actully bought both the Westin Stainless Nerf and be Stainless Bull Bar.

I used to have another brand in an 07 tacoma and the quality of the Westin is way but way better.

Installed a pair of Westin E-series about two weeks ago. I live in the rust-belt Northeast and the salt is already causing rust spots on the chrome finish. I buffed some out and loaded with WD40, but my guess is that they'll be junk by next spring. Fortunately, I got them new off of craigslist for only $100...

If you go Westin, make sure you get the 304 polished stainless. But even then, you'll see others on this forum who have had rust issues with them.

Any ideas on how to keep steps from rusting out? Is aluminum better then steel. I was thinking of getting the 5" Silver Oval Tube Steps that come in aluminum or steel. Last side steps I had on my 99 Dakota lasted about 4 years before rusting out.
