So I wanted to mount HELLA 700's behind my SATOSHI and everything seemed simple enough. I read and followed others ideas on mounting.

I went to TEST fit my HELLAS and thats when the problem happened.

There is NO room on my driver side due to the Extra TRD Cooler. I can't seem to figure out how to mount it while its there.

My question is, is it possible to do so? Would I need to get HELLA 500's instead. It was kinda of a bummer as I looked forward to a new mod.

Anyone with a write up or idea? Feel free to chime in.

    Thanks in Advance:D

this is what i'll be doing when my hellas arrive, just make a bracket like this and you can mount them wherever you want

^ Kevin that bracket is what I want. However, where your light is near the driver side. I have a extra cooler from the tow package. There is no possible way I can install it like you did unless I remove it. Thats NOT going to happen.

The SATOSHI will not be the problem with the HELLA 700's. Its just that DAM COOLER!

    SHUCKS!

    Thanks

What are you mounting them to Ray?

I test fit my PIAA 520s over the weekend and didn't have any issues with that.

    Will Do.

Hay CHRIS, call me when you can as I think I'd need your F'n help then.

Got some pics? Post them for me please. Thanks

Maybe its the size of the 700's with the Cooler. Perhaps I'll drop down to the 500's

I also wanted to mount the lights more to the sides as I didn't want it too close to the middle. Perhaps I'll just have to re-figure this all out and use the Radiator support holes.

Hey Ray can you take some measurements on what the 700's are? I'm sure we can get creative and figure out a way to mount them.

And you're trying to avoid using the radiator support if you can correct?

I'll try and take a pic of how we mounted the lights on my brothers truck. I'm most likely going to be going the same route as him. I know we had to watch out for that cooler on his, so if they are relatively the same size I'm sure we can think of something.

Ray you get this figured out yet? What are the specs on the lights as far as size wise?

It's hard to tell in the pic but you can sort of get an idea of what we did.

Man Ray time to start buying some tools lol :p

I would get the biggest washer you can or piece of aluminum to put on the top and bottom of the plastic that way it distributes the pressure when you are tightening them down. If the washer is too small you will tighten it and then it will crack the grille. So just drill it, washers, bolt (you pick the length or get a long one that you can cut if you need smaller).

I'm still trying to figure out a way to give it some side support, I'll let you know if I come up with anything.
