I think a Garand is a beautiful weapon. Would love to own one some day.

Garand's are just classics. I got an old CMP model from a friend. It's def from WWII and the barrel has been shot out. Stock was beat to shit and not worth restoring so I threw a synthetic stock on there. Only does about 10 MOA out to 100 yds. but it's an experience to shoot. Wonder how many Nazi's it's taken out?

i have been getting some real nice garands from the CMP before the obamanation took office. i got a correct HRA with a LMR 1956 that was less than 1 TE/ME. I cleaned the pot grease out and shot a service rifle match the next weekend. I cut the black every time @ 200 and 400yrs and hit paper(mostly black) every time @ 600yrs. Not bad for a 50+yr old gun and (1970 greek stuff) 40yr old ammo! good looking carbines are hard come by in the CMP store. they go to the auction. i won't be going to the CMP till july. getting another garand if they have a shooter on the racks.

The M1's look great guys!! Hope I don't get blasted for posting a pic of my (M1A) M14 (same family of weapon, just an evolution). All parts are military surplus sans the receiver, which is made by Fulton Armory, stripped and re phosphate coated to match the military parts.

I'm happy to have an all-matching Springfield Armory M1 made in 1944 as well. It pays to be a dealer!
