I just lubed my full drive shaft. 14oz of mobile one synthetic gone and I still haven't lubed the double cardan joint in the middle nor have I lubed the u joint by the tranny..

The rear slip joint took about 50 pumps before grease started coming out and it was the new grease I just pumped in.. I guess it was bone dry!! The front slip joint was take grease when I ran out... I guess it's bone dry as well. Gonna go take it out for a drive now..

Should I grease it again in a couple of days to make sure ALL of the old grease has been replaced?

The slip joint only needs 4-5 pumps. It should not come out anywhere on the slip joint like it does on the u joints.

ummm the service manual i have says pump grease into the slip joint until grease comes out.... all sources I've read said it does it many pumps compared to the u joints.. but mine took much more than I thought.. Then again, my truck had pretty bad axel wrap.

Yeah, just did mine, it took a lot, you're right. I was under there going WTF? Is my grease gun empty? It should be packed full. Pack it hard. Good and hard. Show your shaft who's boss! You know your shaft is done when it spooges...:jerkoff:
