I ordered a set of wheels and tires and the guy at 4 wheel parts says the dick cepek dc-1 wheels in a 16inch wont clear the caliper is this true? Any feed back is greatly appreciated the stock wheels are 16 but he said no aftermarket wheel can clear the caliper inder a 17 inch wheel.

Front (2.75" total): 1.6" Eibach coils, Toytec 0.5" (L) & 0.25" (R) top plate spacers, 5100's @ 0.85", Built Right uniball UCA's, Differential drop, Removed sway bar Rear: TSB springs, Wheeler's 1.5" AAL, 5100's, 2* shims, Carrier bearing drop, F and R Spidertrax, 285/75-16 Goodyear Duratracs, Self-fabbed sliders, rear bumper, and skid plates, Cobra 75 CB, Bed lined slim lo-pro tool box, Bed Extender, Diff breather mod, Two tail gate security mods, Exhaust dumped behind axle, Can't leave shit alone so plenty more coming...
Quite frequently, no, Four Wheel Parts employees don't know what they're doing/saying. We do have large calipers and sometimes fitting them can be tricky. I've heard most 16's fit and some don't. I think back spacing is one of the largest deciding factors on whether or not they fit. No 15's that I know of work. The statement that no aftermarket 16's fit is B.S.

I have 18" silver/black moto metals and they fit fine.
They have quite a bit of backspacing though...

LOL. I would try searching other forums or contacting someone to see if anyone else had ran the same size on your truck. If Worse comes worse, take your wheels and tires and see if Americas Tire will mount them for you, theyve got awesome service.

5% tint all around, Alpine IVA-W505, 16x8 Mojave Teflon Rims w/Hercules Terra Trac 265/75, Grillcraft Grill, Slimcubby HIDs, Front 5100's @ 0 w/Eibach 1.6" springs, URD Short Shifter, Extang Trifecta Tonneau Cover, Uniden Pro510XL and K30Mag Mount, Relentless Fab Bumper soon to come
the backspacing is what your looking for. 4.5 i believe.. i have 16x8 mojaves and there is MAYBE 1/16th" of clearance from the caliper.. so they are pretty close with 4.5 backspacing

I have the black DC-1's in a 16 inch and I am running 285/75/16 Cooper STT's. No problems with clearance at all. I only have 3" of lift, so I had to do some minor trimming to clear the splash guards with the tires. Go for them.

No spacers, let me go look at my wheels and I will let you know how much clearance and see if I can measure the backspacing.

Less than 1/2 inch clearance between the caliper and wheel.

I could not measure the backspacing, but these wheels in a 16x8 with 6 on 5.5 lug pattern only comes in a 4 inch backspacing. Unless your calipers are different then mine, you can fit them no problem.
