    i have a 96 rear diff with some 456 gears that i wanted to throw in my tacoma but im not sure about these dimples i have found on the top, and the bottom of the diff. any idea what they are ? are they supposed to be there?

    Really? Nobody has taken a second to see if their tacoma has nipples on their rear diff?

    Well Damn. The one in my truck now is from a 02. Thought about swapping in this one with the 456 gears or selling it. Guess not. Thanks guys.
