Alright, here it goes... Which do you think will perform better- the blacked out or the yellow?

Don't you think that inherently the blacked-out lens is going to absorb more light and thus transmit less than the yellow, because yellow is a refraction and black is an absence?

 

I think you are losing light both ways. It'd be way more math than I am interested in to figure out which one actually performs better.

Yellow lens filters down to just yellow wavelengths...where the smoke filters all wavelengths evenly. If the smoke is dark- You'll get more light output from the yellows. If it's light- You'll pass more light at all wavelengths thru it. Looking at those- I can't tell you which one.

I would also say you would have a better chance at a less harsh light from the yellows- but that's kinda one of those subjective things.

I vote for yellow, I think they'd look awesome on your truck. IMO yellow really helps in the rain. When I drive my mom's IS300 in heavy rain, I can actually see the lane dividers because of the yellow.

 

I don't have stocks no more, but I do notice Yellow has a better color of cutting through bad weather IE: Fog, Rain, Snow. Your truck is all black so the smoked wouldn't look too bad, just matters what you want.
