Blacking out the Tacoma!

Ok I've been working on getting my Yota blacked out. I have tinted the tails and turn signals, put black corners in, black headlights, and blacked out the emblems. Ideas...opinions?

If you ever get into an accident and your partially obscured lenses are shown to have contributed to or caused the accident, there will not be a rock big enough for you to hide under. At a minimum, there will be a civil cost. It is entirely possible there could be criminal charges -- *especially* in cases of injury or death.

Take it from someone involved in lawsuits on a regular basis. You don't want to go there.

 

Rims and all the chrome should be blacked out as well. Looks good though!

 

Or you could just paint them. Thats what Im going to do to mine. I defiantly don't have enough money to get new wheels. Did you do the BHLM to your signals too? Cause that looks pretty flippin sweet, not going to lie. So I guess it would be the BTSM??? haha

 

No I actually bought the headlights and corners from Amazon. The turn signals on the bottom I spray tinted w/ VHT Niteshade.

 

Half the people around here don't even have tail lights. lol . This is just a time being thing on the tails. It was cheaper to spray them rather than buy some that fit the look I wanted. Im saving now and I'm gonna buy some black euros. hopefully I won't get demolished before then

I like the blacked out tacomas (I have one - 2nd gen trd black) but I'm just seeing waaay too many of them

 

Really? Where I'm at the few tacomas that are around (and that aren't just beat up farm trucks) are just bone stock. So I am actually being rather different from the crowd

I think youre still okay since yours isn't actually painted black. I'm just seeing a lot of black painted tacos on back wheels here (TX). At first I wanted a black one and nothing else - now I'm kinda regretting that decision and liking the the other colors (silver, red, dark blue) better.
