Toolbox completed and installed.

After only about 4 weeks I finally got my toolbox back from having it sprayed. Got it installed yesterday. A few before and after pictures. What you think?

looks about as good as a big ole junky box can look i guess.

would look alot better without it. makes me glad i dont have to carry stupid wrenches and crap with me.

 

I would prefer to not have one but I need it to carry plumbing tools since I do side work often. Also works out great during hunting season!

 

how is that thing secured? i can't see anything in the pic that it could attach to.

also which box did you get? or did you fab it?

 

Hows the house coming along? It's being built off cypress gardens if remember correctly?

 

Looks good Rag! I leave for Camp Shelby this weekend so I will have to check it out next month.

 

I got two 1.5" pieces of squared aluminum cut at 19.5" long and bolted them to the wheel wells. I used the 1.5" pieces to raise the box slightly. Then placed the toolbox on them and ran 4 screws thru the box into the 1.5" aluminum. It's a Better Built box that was made for the Ford Ranger Splash. I picked up the box off craigslist for $80 and had it sprayed before I installed it. Got it sprayed for $60. Beats buying a new one. I have about $180 in it total.

Yeah God forbid you would have to use your truck as intended. It's a shame when a truck is used for working and not as a fashion accessory...... /sarcasm. Have you ever worked a day in your life?

Couldn't agree more. I had to go there last year in June..., you know is bad when a base hardly gets cell phone signals!

 

I think it looks good, I wouldn't mind having one but at the same time it's nice to have full access to the length of the bed

 

Thanks! I like having the full bed also but loading and unloading tools gets old fast....so I have learned to except the slight inconvenience for functionality.
