Thank you for serving first off! Now to your questions. I love my Grillcraft grill. Its a black mesh design and I always get looks. Rainguards: Weathertech; no sticky, all they do is pop into place inside the window channel. I have had black Westin nerf bars for two years and still strong without any movement. Not for sure on the tailgate issues, i did install a pop-n-lock on there to deter theft. Good luck with your new ride!

Still not sure what she's mad about. You made a damn good choice bro.
I concur with the OP post about the weather tech rain guards. Those installed nicely on my 2010. I got mine from Autoanything.com
I went with the Undercover Tonneau after reading this forum and deciding upon the use and my needs for a tonneau cover.

With regard to the tailgate issue, there's been a long standing thing about tailgates for most pickup trucks. That is, they get stolen pretty easily because of the way the manufacturers make them easily removable. With the Tacos, they're very easily removed and most are expensive due to having a backup camera in them. I would search on hose clamp mod in this forum to see a cheap and easy way to "deter" that.

Enjoy your new truck and if the wife gives you more shit, tell her that the truck might be around longer than her!

I have looked at the Westin nerf bar. I have noticed some of the bars clip you little sometimes because they stick out so far. The Westins are on the short list. Weather tech guards are the top choice right now. I was going to wait a while, but I found these wheels....I need to go fly some missions to make some money to pay for this stuff...

Just begining, doing some research having some fun!!
Congrats on the Taco!!! I'm a new owner as well, doing some research on modding it out over time. This a great site!! Fantastic helpful people with lots of sharp looking rides willing to share advice & suggestions. There a few pics of my Black sand pearl 2010 SR5 TRD, (with my gf in her bikini as well) still stock except for rain guards & a hood bug guard in the picture area. Have fun, hope the wife cools off!! Make sure you look at the tech site there is info you need to be aware of about "rear spring harsh ride" Technical service bulletin T-SB-0305-08. Thanks for serving!!
