Ok seems like afe stage 2 is the most popular. Did anyone notice any difference in gas economy?

Have a TRD CAI (same as AFE) I'm going back to a stock box.. it's an annoying drone at any rpm, this V6 is noisy. Going to put a AFE Pro Dry S under the hood in the stock box and get a Catback exhaust (prolly TRD since it's subtle but more noticeable than stock). These trucks have plenty of power already and you will barely notice the gain in the lower rpms with an intake where most the driving is done...

When I changed my filter the first time (went through two oil changes) it didn't even seem that dirty... changed it anyway, but now I just double check to make sure it isn't filthy before changing it. Is this a bad idea?

Tint, tinted tails + 3rd brake light, shaved tailgate, painted calipers. TSB Leafs+ AAL, PA/CB, 5100 Bilsteins set @ 2.5 up front. Satoshi line-x'd grill.
i talked to teh AFE guys the other day and they said the boxed intakes are less loud and restrict air flow.. it might be a few degrees cooler, but it restricts airflow... and that the most gain comes from the intakes with the heatshields.

Since installing the AFE Pro Dry I've experienced a gain of 50 miles more per fill up.

Used to get 400 per tank full and now it's up to 450 miles.
