Picked up this 2005 DCSB TRD Off Road from a buddy that needed a full size truck, lucky me as I needed a 4wd for a job I just started. Anyhow, had it about a month and hate feeling like a jackass when people ask me about it and I only know so much. I've been reading quite a bit on here, but still have quite a bit to learn.

So far this is what I know:
ARB front bumper with 2 types of piaa fogs, the small ones are HID, and a warn winch (no clue which one, just thats its rated to 9000lbs)
Fabtech dirtlogics 6" lift with fabtech steering stabilizers
    18" Moto Metal 951 with Toyo M/T 33/12.5/18
    extang tonneau

Can you guys possibly tell me things I've missed or details I might want to know. I usually don't like the idea of buying an already modded car, but it was from a good friend and I know that he treating his truck well, and it was too good to pass up. Anyways, some shitty pictures outside a hotel.

oh and I want to do the BHLM and satoshi grill, possibly paint the chrome in the grill to match. I'd also like some rock sliders and kinda want to ditch the chrome rear bumper for this all pro one

Yeah I know, but I'm not in town and he's pretty busy trying to run his brewery. I just figured I'd see if you guys could help me with anything I missed or should know.

please dont speak in the 2nd gen forum unless you know what your talking about...;) those shocks are clearly the fabtech dirtlogic series, front and back.

anyways, back to stuff we know for sure...you have the off-road, so that means you have a rear selectable locker. you also most likely have the factory tow package (hitch, 7pin connector, trans cooler, oil cooler (pancake style between the oil filter and mount), larger alternator and battery). custom sub box w/ JLs if im not mistaken. aftermarket stereo, OEM roof racks...ok, thats enough for tonight!

    Well hell,
You said he was a buddy. Why doncha just ask him what all mods he had done to the truck. Then next time someone asks you can spout off all the fine things the truck has had done to make look that sharp.
Better yet, send him an email with the pics and ask the question. That way he has something to remind him about all the time and money he put into his baby before letting it go.
    Ken

Thanks man, I'm really enjoying it and its great for my job, which entails riding along the Florida natural gas pipe line pretty much every day. I definitely want to do the BHLM, but can't decide what kind of paint I want to use, glossy satin or matte, or ordering a can of BSP. I also want to do the satoshi grill and paint the chrome BSP. I agree new wheels might really help it feel like mine, I think I want to stay with black though.

I know I should try that, but I'm almost positive he doesn't know what specific types of things are on there. Like what model fogs or winch. I need a new bulb for one of the fogs and I want to upgrade to a synthetic winch rope. The metal one sucks so much ass and is a pain to re-spool.

As to the fogs, just crawl up under the front. should be able to see the back of the light which likely has a brand. Better yet, take the bad one out, then you can get the bulb replaced at most parts stores.
Winch ropes can likely be replaced with the model of the winch which should be on the front, side or back. Hit the off road store or go online with your info. good luck. Judging from the truck you have a lot of looking around to figure out what all you have on it.
