Thanks. I sent him a PM. someone said fatbobsgarage.com sells the LRs for $380? but they are on backorder...

Another question for you experts, do any of you have the rear Bilstien 5100's also? do they do anything? i assume they do not give you any more lift, so what is the purpose?

Thicker shock witch runs a little cooler while offroading, also they are slightly longer so if your lifted in the rear you can get more down travel. I didn't go to the 5100s in the rear because i needed a resivore shock to handle hoe i drive.

ahh ok! in that case, I think I need them, they are cheap enough I might as well get them. I have airbags on the rear now, i inflate them a lot when i tow my 5500lbs trailer, but after i disconnect my trailer, and the rear is still a bit high, when i come to a stop and the front starts dipping, i hear a noise from the rear shock, like it is almost fully extended or something, because when I take out about half the air the noise is gone. I will get the rears too.

shocks dont lift vehicles, springs do (leafs, coils, etc). shocks are dampers, nothing more.

Another question for you guys on the 5100s, I am ordering them on Monday, but on the front shocks, I know people say they set them at 2.5, but how do you know what they are set at? is the shock labeled? or are people measuring their self?

You set the different height by moving the c-clip in the different groves. Their not labeled but its pretty easy to figure out. their is 4 setting the closest grove to the top of the shock is the 2.5" then 1.75",.85" and stock.

Ahhh ok! I see. Its pretty much like a adjustable coilover without a threaded shock body in a sense.

I just found this picture, I take it these are the grooves you mean. How does the C clip lock in there? It comes with everything right?

yeah they come with everything you will need, the c-clip just stays in their buy its own force, then their will be a lower coil holder that slides right over the c-clip and that will hold it in. i know it sound crazy that a single c-clip can hold the whole coil in their but i never herd of anyone having a problem with it coming off.

wow! yes it does sound crazy, I am sure this will all make sense when I see it in person. Does anything need to be done on the rear? anything re used or is it a total bolt on.

Are you talking about putting the rear shock in, if so, no its total bolt on.
